SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack sassa status check of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the SRD area daily. The service point designed for intervention ordeals a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
